About our GIVING.
Greater Good CoWork was born from a simple idea, business is more than profits and products; it SHOULD and CAN BE a creative and sustainable force for the Greater Good.
When you buy a product or service, ultimately the money you traded for the product or service ends up in the pockets of the owner(s). That is what it means to be the shareholder of the company; you earn a slice of the profits or losses. If you own a good business, it can produce continuous profits, like a garden that produces fruit year in and out. This is a GOOD thing!
We make this a GREATER thing by redistributing our profits to a different type of owner, an owner that wants to use the money to change the world, a public charity. Greater Good CoWork literally GIVES 100% of its profits to the Greater Good. In addition, our day to day operations are managed by generous, like-minded volunteers, so that there can be MORE profits available to give.
What does that mean for YOU? If you are a Greater Good CoWork community member, profits from your rent will go directly to change the world. Once a year, Greater Good CoWork will host a GIVING party to vote on WHERE to send our profits. Volunteers will curate a menu of qualified organizations that can receive funds, and during the event, YOU can cast YOUR vote so that a cause that touches you receives our support.
You receive VOTES based on the membership package you select, and can earn additional votes by volunteering in the Space.
